Rokomet

Rokomet, known as handball in English, is a team sport played between two teams of seven players each, typically consisting of six outfield players and a goalkeeper. The objective of the game is to throw a ball into the opposing team’s goal to score points. Players can use their hands to pass, dribble, and shoot the ball, and they can move freely around the field, except for the goalkeeper, who is allowed to use their entire body to block shots within the goal area. The game is played on a rectangular court with a goal at each end.

Rokomet matches are played in two halves, and the team with the most goals at the end of the game wins. The sport is characterized by its fast pace, frequent scoring, and emphasis on teamwork and strategy. It is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF) and has various national and international competitions, including the World Championships and Olympic Games. In Slovenia, rokomet is a popular sport with a strong following and local leagues.
